Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on Operations Efficiency and Workflow Design in Paarl, Western Cape. The role requires analyzing and re-engineering production processes to maximize productivity, minimize waste, and optimize labor utilization using Lean principles.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, proven Lean experience, and familiarity with MES.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with focus on operations efficiency and workflow design.
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
Proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and simulation software is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing and documenting standard operating procedures.
Ability to manage projects and drive them to completion.
Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) is beneficial.

Mansioni

Analyze existing production processes, workflows, and operational procedures to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
Design and implement optimized production layouts and material flow systems.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen) to eliminate waste and improve flow.
Conduct time studies and work sampling to establish standard times and optimize labor utilization.
Develop process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Collaborate with production teams and management to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
Collect, analyze, and report on KPIs related to operational efficiency and productivity.
Identify opportunities for automation or technology adoption to enhance workflow.
Support the development of business cases for process improvement projects.
