Placements24 is seeking an In-House Counsel specializing in Regulatory Compliance to join its legal team in Mahikeng, North West. You will advise on SA financial services regulations, implement compliance frameworks, and coordinate with regulators to ensure ongoing compliance.

The role requires an admitted SA attorney with substantial post-qualification experience in financial services regulation, plus the ability to work autonomously and manage complex workloads.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with post-qualification experience in financial services regulation.
• Experience advising on regulatory requirements for financial services clients.
• Strong understanding of SA financial sector laws and governance principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on financial services regulations (FAIS, FICA, POPI).
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact for the business.
• Lead compliance risk assessments and internal audits.
• Manage relations with regulatory authorities and filings.
