Placements24 client, a reputable civil engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead municipal infrastructure projects in Paarl, Western Cape. You will drive water, sewer, stormwater, and road initiatives from conception through delivery.

The role combines on-site presence for critical meetings and inspections with remote work for design and analysis. You will manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance, engage with local authorities, and mentor junior engineers to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional registration as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA is required.
• Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience focused on municipal infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water/wastewater modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of municipal planning, procurement, and project management.

Responsabilités

• Manage and execute civil engineering projects related to municipal infrastructure, including water, sanitation, and roads.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for public works.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and impact assessments for infrastructure development.
• Oversee project implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with municipal clients, contractors, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant SANS, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Review project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform site inspections and project supervision during construction phases.
• Contribute to proposals and business development efforts for municipal projects.
