Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Systems Engineer to join their dedicated team in Mossel Bay . This crucial role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within the quality framework, working closely with manufacturing and engineering departments. This position requires a strong understanding of quality standards and regulations, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to uphold the highest levels of product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and manage quality control procedures and inspection plans for incoming materials and finished products.
• Train and mentor personnel on quality procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality engineering or quality systems management.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience with auditing and certification processes is highly desirable.
