Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer for its Mossel Bay facility. You will develop and oversee quality management systems to prevent defects, drive continuous improvement, and align with production, engineering, and R&D teams.

The role demands detail orientation, solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC, and hands-on experience with FMEA, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years in quality control/quality assurance in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC.
• Experience with FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QC plans for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specs.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and perform CAPA.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to integrate quality into new product development and process design.
• Maintain quality documentation and calibration records.
• Train production staff on quality standards.
