Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to optimize operations in a hybrid role near Rustenburg. You will analyze processes, pinpoint bottlenecks, and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to raise efficiency and output quality.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to develop SOPs, track performance with data analysis, and mentor staff on best practices, balancing on-site visits with remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in process improvement or industrial engineering roles.
• Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma knowledge; certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with simulation software is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting and commute to Rustenburg on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement process improvements using lean, Six Sigma, and related methods.
• Develop and document SOPs for new and enhanced processes.
• Utilize data analysis and visualization to track performance and trends.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to implement changes.
• Manage small to medium process improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Train and mentor operations staff on new processes and best practices.
• Prepare reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor long-term effectiveness and adjust as needed.
