The role requires a National Diploma or BSc in Mine Surveying, PLATO registration, 6+ years in mining surveying, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and 3D laser scanning. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with engineers and geologists.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Professional registration with PLATO.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, with underground and open-pit exposure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar CAD; 3D laser scanning experience.
• Familiarity with mining methods and survey requirements; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and cadastral surveys for surface and underground mining operations.
• Establish and maintain precise survey control networks using total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
• Prepare mine plans, sections, and contour maps using CAD software.
• Monitor mine development activities for volumetric calculations and reporting.
• Transfer mine designs from surface to underground workings; maintain survey records and equipment.
