Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct surface and underground surveys using Total Stations, GPS, laser scanners, and other relevant equipment.
• Prepare accurate mine plans, cross-sections, and volumetric calculations based on survey data.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks for mining operations.
• Monitor and record mining progress, including excavation volumes, development advances, and stockpile quantities.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory survey requirements and regulations.
• Liaise with mine planning engineers, geologists, and production managers to provide necessary survey data and support.
• Process and analyze survey data using specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, Surpac, Minex).
• Conduct reconciliations between planned and actual mine development and extraction.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure its calibration and proper functioning.
• Train and mentor junior surveyors and survey assistants.
