Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join the operations team in Tembisa. The role focuses on designing, implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and quality.

You will drive continuous improvement, support the production team and ensure adherence to safety standards, with a hybrid work arrangement offering collaboration within the facility and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical) is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering within manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with process simulation and modeling software.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement new process designs and modifications, ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives and eliminate waste.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement control strategies to maintain product quality.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on new and existing processes.
• Monitor KPIs related to production efficiency and process performance.
