Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Solar Project Manager to oversee large-scale PV projects in George and beyond, with a hybrid work arrangement for optimal oversight and collaboration.

You will coordinate site development, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning while liaising with clients, contractors and regulators to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality solar assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• 7+ years in project management, with renewable energy/solar PV focus.
• Proven ability to manage multi-million rand energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology and SA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets for solar PV installations.
• Coordinate site development, design, permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Lead and mentor project teams to deliver high performance.
• Engage with clients, contractors, suppliers and regulators.
• Monitor risk, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
