Placements24 seeks a Lead Solar PV Design Engineer for a fully remote role focusing on utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects. You will lead a team of design engineers, set design standards, and ensure technical integrity and economic viability across regions.

You will supervise energy yield assessments, use tools like PVSyst, Helioscope, and SAM, and collaborate with project development, construction, and operations teams worldwide to deliver optimized solar solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead design process for large-scale solar PV projects ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement design standards, best practices, and QA procedures.
• Mentor and manage a team of solar PV design engineers; foster innovation.
• Perform energy yield assessments and simulations using industry tools.
• Review and approve technical designs for civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with solar PV tech, storage, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Contribute to proposal development and provide technical support during sales.
