Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Pretoria to oversee enterprise-scale software implementations, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements. You will collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires 7+ years of IT project management experience, strong SDLC and cybersecurity knowledge, and proficiency with MS Project, Jira, and ServiceNow. PMP certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years in IT project management focused on enterprise systems (ERP/CRM/core banking).
• Proven track record delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, SDLC, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise IT projects including software implementations and upgrades.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor performance, report status, and ensure quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and solutions.
