Job summary

Placements24 in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure initiatives. You will manage end‑to‑end delivery, coordinating cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and budgets in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in project management with 5+ in IT infrastructure, plus experience with cloud migrations, network upgrades and data center consolidations. PMP/PRINCE2 desirable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in IT infrastructure.
• Proven track record managing complex, large-scale IT projects including cloud migrations and data center consolidations.
• Proficient with Jira, Asana and Microsoft Project.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/IT or related field; PMP/PRINCE2/CSM desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and closure of IT infrastructure projects from initiation to delivery.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, resources, budget and risk assessment.
• Lead cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Manage stakeholder communications with regular progress updates and milestones.
• Implement Agile and Waterfall methodologies to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Proactively identify, analyze and mitigate risks and issues.
