Placements24 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our technical team, providing first and second-level support, troubleshooting hardware and software, and assisting with IT projects.

The role blends on-site and remote work, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach to maintain data security and system uptime in the insurance sector.

Qualifications

• A relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
• Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with mobile device support (iOS, Android).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and helpful attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, supporting users both on-site and remotely from Nelspruit.
• Knowledge of insurance industry software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades and implementations.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection regulations relevant to the insurance sector.
