Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and technically skilled Instructional Designer to transform traditional course content into engaging online learning experiences. You will manage the full lifecycle from needs analysis to deployment, collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure accessible, impactful solutions.

The role requires a strong grounding in adult learning theories, ADDIE or SAM, and proficiency with Storyline, Rise, and Captivate, plus LMS administration and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with a portfolio of eLearning projects.
• Proficiency with Storyline, Rise and Captivate.
• Strong understanding of ADDIE or SAM and adult learning principles.
• Experience with LMS administration and course deployment.
• Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging eLearning courses and training materials using various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate).
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
• Create storyboards, scripts, and interactive content, including simulations and quizzes.
• Develop assessment strategies to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention.
• Manage eLearning projects from conception to completion, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Incorporate accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) into all digital learning materials.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of eLearning courses and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in instructional design and eLearning technologies.
