Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer (E-Learning) for a hybrid role in Sandton, Gauteng. You will translate learning needs into innovative digital courses, leveraging adult learning principles and multimedia development to deliver engaging outcomes for corporate clients.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in instructional design, proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate, and a strong LMS background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design with strong e-learning development.
• Proven expertise with industry-standard e-learning authoring tools and multimedia software.
• Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and evaluation methods.
• Excellent project management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with remote collaboration and occasional Sandton office presence.
• Strong portfolio of successful e-learning projects; LMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze learning needs and design comprehensive e-learning courses and blended learning solutions.
• Develop engaging content including storyboards, scripts, interactive exercises, assessments, and multimedia elements.
• Use authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to build high-quality modules.
• Collaborate with SMEs, designers, and developers to ensure objectives are met.
• Apply ADDIE/SAM and adult learning theories to create effective experiences.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Evaluate programmes and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with trends and technologies in e-learning.
