Placements24 is seeking a dedicated HR Operations Specialist in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role covers payroll, benefits, and accurate HR record management within a hybrid work model.

You will handle day-to-day HR functions, ensure compliance with SA labour laws, and serve as the first point of contact for employee HR queries, contributing to efficient service delivery and data integrity.

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' HR administration or operations experience.
• Proven experience with payroll systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HRIS is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and queries.
• Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Process new hires, terminations, and other employee status changes.
• Assist in the preparation of HR reports and statistical data for management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and company policies.
• Support the HR team with various projects and initiatives.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
• Prepare and distribute HR-related documentation.
