Placements24 is seeking an experienced Energy Storage Systems Engineer in Klerksdorp, North West to design, implement and optimize cutting‑edge battery energy storage systems (BESS) integrated with renewable sources.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in designing, engineering and deploying energy storage systems (BESS).
• Strong knowledge of battery chemistries (Lithium-ion) and BMS/PCS.
• Experience with grid interconnection standards and power quality.

Responsabilidades

• Design and engineer BESS solutions including system architecture and control strategies.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control logic for energy storage systems.
• Perform system modeling, simulations and performance analysis for optimal operation.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of BESS with existing power infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BESS performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure BESS designs comply with industry standards and client specifications.
• Stay current with battery technology, power electronics and grid integration techniques.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
• Support business development with technical input during proposals.
