Placements24 is seeking a talented and driven E-commerce SEO Specialist to join our team in Sandton, Gauteng. The role blends remote work with in-office collaboration to deliver measurable improvements in organic search visibility, traffic, and online sales for our client’s ecommerce site.

You will develop and execute SEO strategies, perform keyword research, optimize on-page and technical SEO, build links, and monitor performance using industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist for e-commerce sites.
• Strong knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Experience with keyword research and competitive analysis.
• Familiarity with on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies for the e-commerce site to improve organic search rankings.
• Conduct keyword research to identify terms for content creation and optimization.
• Perform on-page SEO, including meta tags, content optimization, and internal linking.
• Identify and address technical SEO issues, such as site speed and crawlability.
• Develop and implement a link-building strategy to improve domain authority.
• Monitor website performance using SEO tools and provide regular reports.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithms and trends.
• Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO-optimized content.
• Analyze competitor SEO strategies and identify areas for competitive advantage.
• Recommend and implement website structure and UX improvements to enhance SEO.
