Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Construction Planner for our Paarl, Western Cape team. You will develop and monitor project schedules, identify critical path activities, and manage resources to keep projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and proven planning software experience (Primavera P6, MS Project). Hybrid work model offered with strong collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
• Identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to gather input for planning.
• Monitor construction progress and update schedules accordingly, forecasting potential delays.
• Prepare progress reports, including schedule performance analysis and look-ahead plans.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation aligns with the project schedule and budget.
