Placements24 is seeking a proactive Catering Event Coordinator in Vereeniging, Gauteng, SA. The role blends on-site event execution with remote planning to ensure seamless delivery for diverse catering functions.

You will coordinate with clients, kitchen, and suppliers, manage proposals, timelines, and budgets, and oversee setup, service and breakdown with a focus on quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning or catering coordination.
• Excellent client management and written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office and event management tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute catering events from start to finish.
• Serve as main client liaison throughout planning and execution.
• Create proposals with menus, staffing, timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with kitchen, service teams, and suppliers.
• Oversee on-site setup, service and breakdown; troubleshoot as needed.
• Conduct site visits and client consultations to assess needs.
• Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure profitability.
