Placements24 is seeking a Catering Operations Supervisor in Vereeniging to lead the catering team during events and ensure seamless service. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in catering or hospitality.
• Proven ability to manage staff and operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety/hygiene regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations calmly.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate catering staff during events.
• Ensure setup, service, and breakdown are timely and efficient.
• Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation during service.
• Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in kitchen and event areas.
• Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment; report shortages or damages.
• Assist in training and development of new catering staff.
• Liaise with clients on-site to address immediate needs or concerns.
• Maintain professional conduct and deliver excellent customer service.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with the team.
• Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
