About the Role

Our client, a well-established retail group with a strong presence in **Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA**, is actively seeking a dedicated and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join their local branch team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the HR function at the branch level, providing essential support to employees and management. You will be responsible for a broad range of HR activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and South African labor laws, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment within the **Queenstown** community. Key Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day HR operations at the branch, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee record management.
• Provide support and guidance to employees and line managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all staff.
• Assist with the implementation of performance management systems and employee development initiatives.
• Handle employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
• Support the payroll process by ensuring accurate time and attendance data.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of HR training programs for branch staff.
• Maintain HR records and ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of all employee information.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR support role.
• Solid understanding of South African labor law, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Labour Relations Act.
• Experience with recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in the retail sector is advantageous but not essential for this role in **Queenstown**.
