Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE management experience, offshore oil & gas.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate/Diploma or CSP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with HSE management software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE management systems aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in offshore energy exploration, is seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE Manager to lead their Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to manage crucial HSEQ operations from anywhere. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing robust HSE policies and procedures across all offshore projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to safety, a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, and exceptional leadership skills to foster a proactive safety culture. As a remote manager, you will leverage technology to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement across our diverse operational footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing comprehensive HSE management systems aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
• Conducting regular risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable local and international HSE regulations for offshore operations.
• Developing and delivering HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
• Managing environmental impact assessments and implementing pollution prevention strategies.
• Promoting a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and visible leadership.
• Overseeing the emergency response planning and preparedness for offshore facilities.
• Collaborating with project teams, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure HSE objectives are met.
• Reporting on HSE performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, with a significant portion in the oil and gas industry, specifically offshore operations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems in complex operational environments.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and emergency response planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a remote work environment.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH International General Certificate/Diploma, CSP).
• Proficiency in HSE management software and reporting tools.
