Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment is seeking an HR & Payroll Administrator to join our Wellington-based team in the Western Cape. This permanent role focuses on payroll administration, HR records, recruitment coordination and compliance with South African labour laws.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HR administration experience, a matric, and exposure to payroll software such as Sage or VIP. Construction/engineering industry experience is preferred, with strong MS Office skills and discretion in

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• HR or Payroll qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer monthly wages, salaries and employee benefits.
• Manage PAYE, UIF, SDL, Provident Fund, Medical Aid and other payroll requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files and payroll records.
• Coordinate recruitment, interviews and onboarding of employees.
• Support training and development and maintain training records.
• Assist with disciplinary, grievance and termination processes.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and statutory submissions.
• Prepare HR reports and assist with BBBEE and Employment Equity documentation.
• Support employee wellness and engagement initiatives.
