Job summary

Headhunters in South Africa seeks an experienced HR and payroll administrator to join our client-focused team in Swellendam. The role centers on processing client payrolls via PaySpace, handling PAYE, UIF, and other tax obligations, and ensuring labour-law compliance.

You will also oversee the full HR function for internal staff, maintain contracts, and support recruitment, onboarding, and terminations while upholding confidentiality and high ethics.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in HR and payroll administration.
• Knowledge of SA labour legislation and payroll administration.
• Experience with PAYE, UIF, employee tax requirements, and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage client payroll using PaySpace.
• Administer employee tax obligations (EMP201, EMP501, IRP5).
• Manage UIF registrations, amendments, and obligations.
• Handle COIDA and Compensation Fund matters for clients.
• Provide payroll advice and support to clients.
• Manage the complete HR function for internal staff.
• Draft and maintain employment contracts and employee records.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and termination processes.
• Support management with staff-related matters.
• Handle disciplinary processes and grievances.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation.
