Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a motivated HR Officer to join their Kimberley team in a hybrid role. You will support recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records, and general HR duties within the Northern Cape.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational HR background, 1–3 years of HR admin experience, and a proactive attitude to grow within HR. This position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 1–3 years in HR admin/assistant role.
• Basic understanding of SA labour law and HR practices.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Familiarity with HRIS is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist recruitment: post ads, screen CVs, schedule interviews.
• Coordinate onboarding and ensure documentation.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS.
• Provide admin support: filing, correspondence, data entry.
• Assist benefits and payroll administration.
• Respond to staff inquiries on HR policies.
• Support HR projects and initiatives.
• Ensure policy compliance in Kimberley.
• Organize employee training and development activities.
