Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Junior HR Officer to join our Klerksdorp team. This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, offering hands-on experience across HR operations and exposure to payroll support, onboarding, and employee records management.

You will support the HR Manager and team, contribute to training programs, maintain data in HRIS, and help ensure compliance with SA labor regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (e.g., National Diploma, Bachelor's Degree).
• 0-3 years of experience in an HR-related role or HR internship.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and employee records management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS).
• Support the recruitment team with job postings, CV screening, and interview scheduling.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation, such as employment contracts and offer letters.
• Respond to general employee HR queries and direct them to the appropriate HR specialist when necessary.
• Assist with the organization and coordination of employee training and development programs.
• Help in the administration of employee benefits and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and South African labor regulations.
• Support the HR team with special projects and HR initiatives.
• Assist in gathering data for HR reporting and audits.
• Perform general administrative tasks to support the HR department's efficiency.
