Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned HR Manager to lead and develop the HR function for their operations in Durban. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HRIS management, and compliance. You will play a critical role in shaping the company culture and ensuring that HR strategies effectively support the organization's growth and strategic objectives. This is a senior position offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to drive impactful HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and policies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, talent management, compensation, and employee development.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations in South Africa.
• Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing department.
• Oversee employee relations, addressing grievances and ensuring a positive and fair workplace.
• Manage the HR budget and report on key HR metrics to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of all functional areas of HR, including talent acquisition and legal compliance.
• Experience in managing HR operations within a manufacturing or similar industry is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and HR analytics.
