Job summary

Oxford University Press in Cape Town is seeking an HR Intern for a 12-month fixed-term role. The intern will support recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, training coordination and employee engagement initiatives.

Based at the Goodwood office and reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role offers hands-on exposure to core HR processes and a chance to develop practical skills within a global publishing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HR Management or equivalent.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Discretion with sensitive information and data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment including posting adverts, screening resumes, telephonic interviews and scheduling interviews.
• Support onboarding and induction programs for all new joiners and training initiatives.
• Help maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve workplace culture and employee engagement.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team and contribute to team meetings.
