Job summary

Alpha Bpo is seeking an HR Generalist / Senior HR Administrator to deliver comprehensive HR support across employee relations, administration, performance management and compliance. You will work with line managers to promote effective people practices and a positive employee experience.

Location is La Lucia, South Africa. The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in HR, with 2–3 years’ HR Generalist experience and solid knowledge of SA labour legislation.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline.
• 2–3 years' experience in an HR Generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: act as primary contact for employee relations enquiries; guide managers on disciplinary procedures; manage documentation; oversee investigations and terminations.
• HR Administration & Compliance: maintain employee records; coordinate onboarding, contracts, leave, and offboarding; administer benefits; ensure BCEA, LRA, EEA compliance.
• Performance Management & Business Support: support performance management and employee engagement; advise line managers; analyse HR trends; support induction and development initiatives.

#Alpha is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR professional to join their team as an HR Generalist / Senior HR Administrator. This key role provides comprehensive HR support across employee relations, recruitment, HR administration, performance management, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with line managers to champion effective people practises, ensure legal compliance, and cultivate a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Relations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations enquiries
  • Provide guidance to managers on disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Draught, review and manage disciplinary documentation
  • Handle conflict resolution, conduct thorough investigations, and oversee terminations
• HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Coordinate onboarding, contracts, leave management, and offboarding processes
  • Administer employee benefits and general HR procedures
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, and EEA
• Performance Management & Business Support
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Partner with line managers to provide expert HR advice and support
  • Analyse HR trends and contribute to workforce planning activities
  • Promote a positive workplace culture to enhance employee retention
  • Assist with induction, training initiatives, and identifying development needs

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline
