Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support HR operations across our Johannesburg-area client in Midrand, Gauteng. You will drive employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and performance management while partnering with management to align HR strategies with business goals.

The role requires strong knowledge of South African labor laws, a track record in talent acquisition and a collaborative, proactive approach to people development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SA employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment and performance management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SA labour laws.
• Oversee employee relations, addressing grievances and conflicts proactively and professionally.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
