Job summary

Homechoice is a leading South African homeware retailer. The Sales Associate will deliver an exceptional in-showroom experience, converting visits into sales through effective product demonstrations, needs analysis, and accurate order processing.

The role covers frontline sales, customer service, administration, and adherence to standards to support the Store Supervisor and Showroom Manager in achieving sales and service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
• Minimum 1 years' retail sales experience.
• Customer-facing sales experience within a target-driven environment.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Homewares retail experience (advantageous).
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage customers on the showroom floor to understand their needs and convert interactions into sales.
• Demonstrate products effectively, communicating features, benefits, pricing, and promotions.
• Achieve individual sales targets, conversion rates, and productivity expectations.
• Capture customer orders, documentation, payments, refunds, and credits accurately and timeously.
• Maintain stock handling and showroom standards; ensure merchandising and housekeeping are up to standard.
• Follow policies, procedures and cash handling when processing payments and returns.
