Job summary

Altron is seeking a Head of Shared Services - Business Optimisation in Midrand, Gauteng. The role leads cross-functional teams to optimise property, hardware, fleet, and facilities, ensuring assets are in place at the right time and within budget.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, a postgraduate qualification (MBA or similar), and 15+ years of leadership with at least 8 years in senior management across shared services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus postgraduate qualification.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• 8+ years in a senior management role overseeing multiple functions.
• Proven experience in shared services environments and cost reduction.
• Experience managing large budgets and supplier contracts.

Responsibilities

• Drives cross-functional cost reductions across major operating expense lines.
• Rolls out shared-services ERP/automation/AI solutions.
• Manages nationwide facilities real estate and lease negotiations.
• Oversees end-to-end device delivery, warehousing, and QA/refurbishment.
• Controls vehicle lifecycle and fuel monitoring to curb downtime.
