Placements24, on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in Cape Town, seeks a Lead Industrial Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance of production lines and facilities.

You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, supervise a team of technicians, perform root cause analyses, manage spares and budgets, and ensure safety compliance across the plant. The role offers growth in a dynamic Western Cape environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in industrial maintenance with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven experience with CNC machines, conveyors, pumps and automation.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, vibration analysis and thermography.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Proficient in CMMS software.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication across levels of the organization.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and servicing of new machinery.
• Manage spare parts inventory and optimize stock levels.
• Ensure safety, environmental and company policy compliance.
• Develop maintenance budget and identify efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
