Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Lead Aquatics Manager to oversee all operations and programming at an advanced aquatic center in Pretoria. You will guide staff, ensure safety standards, develop programs, and drive membership growth, creating a welcoming and secure environment for swimmers of all ages and levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in aquatics management or similar role in leisure/sports facilities.
• Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in staff supervision, program development, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the aquatic facility, including pool maintenance and safety checks.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff.
• Develop and implement a diverse range of aquatics programs, including swimming lessons and fitness classes.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and emergency protocols, maintaining certifications.
• Manage the aquatics budget, including inventory control for equipment and supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with members, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.
