Job summary

Ad Talent is partnering with an established organisation in Gauteng to recruit an experienced Software Development Team Lead. You will mentor a team of developers while staying hands-on to guide architecture and delivery.

You will oversee .NET/C#, REST APIs and SQL Server, plan sprints in Azure DevOps, enforce coding standards, coordinate releases, and collaborate with architects and stakeholders to drive improvements and responsible AI tool adoption.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science, IT or related field.
7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in team leadership.
Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C#, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum and PR workflows.
People management, coaching and performance development.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and clean architecture.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team of software developers.
Stay hands-on with software design, coding and code reviews.
Oversee development using .NET, C# and REST APIs.
Plan sprints, allocate tasks and monitor progress through Azure DevOps.
Maintain coding standards, software quality and secure development practices.
Coordinate releases, production support and incident resolution.
Collaborate with technical architects and business stakeholders to resolve challenges.
Drive process improvements and AI development tool adoption.
