Job summary

Talent Candey represents a prominent foodservice equipment supplier in Johannesburg seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead a team of technicians and own the repair operation from intake to completion. The role demands a hands-on leader with a proven track record in high-volume repairs and strong supervision, ensuring quality and timely turnaround.

Preferred candidates will have 5+ years in workshop or technical environments, plus experience with job cards/workshop systems and solid Excel

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Relevant technical or trade qualification.
• At least 5 years' experience in a workshop, repair or technical environment.
• Previous experience managing or supervising technicians.
• Experience managing a high-volume repair operation.
• Experience using job card or workshop management systems.
• Good computer literacy, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily repair workflow and allocate jobs to technicians.
• Lead, manage, motivate and develop the technician team.
• Take ownership of all job cards and ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
• Monitor open and ageing repairs and drive jobs through to completion.
• Manage repair turnaround times and technician productivity.
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly, tested and meet required quality standards.
• Actively manage jobs awaiting parts, quotations or customer approval.
• Investigate repeat repairs and identify opportunities to improve repair quality.
• Work closely with the Spares and Service Centre teams to maintain a smooth repair workflow.
• Ensure the repair system accurately reflects the status of every job.
• Manage escalated technical and customer-related repair issues.
• Produce and review repair performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and discipline within the repair area.
• Continuously improve repair processes, productivity and turnaround times.
