Resort Activity Coordinator

Our client is seeking an energetic and organized Resort Activity Coordinator to create engaging and memorable experiences for guests at their resort in Upington. This role involves planning, promoting, and executing a diverse range of daily activities, from recreational sports and cultural experiences to evening entertainment. You will be the heart of guest engagement, ensuring a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the resort. This position requires creativity, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest satisfaction through well-managed and enjoyable activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a daily schedule of diverse resort activities suitable for various guest demographics.
• Promote activities to guests through various channels, including in-person interaction, newsletters, and notice boards.
• Organize and lead recreational, entertainment, and cultural activities, ensuring guest participation and enjoyment.
• Manage activity supplies, equipment, and ensure safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Coordinate with other resort departments, such as food and beverage and housekeeping, to ensure smooth activity execution.
• Gather guest feedback on activities and use it to continuously improve offerings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in activity coordination, event planning, or a related role, preferably in hospitality or a resort setting.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a passion for planning and executing engaging events and activities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages.
• Knowledge of Upington and surrounding areas for potential off-site activity planning is a plus.
