Job summary

Placements24 seeks a friendly Front Desk Receptionist in Stellenbosch to greet guests at a hotel, manage check-ins/outs, take reservations, and share local information. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests.

The role requires excellent communication, organization, and a positive guest-focused attitude. Hospitality experience and proficiency with PMS and MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
• Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately, ensuring all guest details are up-to-date.
• Answer telephone calls, manage inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
• Provide guests with information about hotel services, amenities, and local points of interest in Stellenbosch.
• Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Process payments and manage petty cash according to established procedures.
