Job summary

You will welcome members and guests, manage tee times, monitor pace of play, communicate rules, and assist with events. A passion for golf and hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience in golf, hospitality or customer service.
• Good knowledge of golf and golf etiquette.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Good organisational skills and basic computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests and manage the first tee professionally.
• Manage tee times, starting intervals and the daily tee sheet.
• Communicate course conditions, local rules, weather and updates.
• Coordinate tee-time changes, cancellations and late arrivals.
• Assist with competitions, tournaments and events.
• Monitor the pace and flow of play across the course.
• Provide pace-of-play guidance and manage delays or congestion.
• Monitor golf etiquette, course rules, cart restrictions and safety requirements.
• Assist golfers with information and direction while maintaining a visible professional presence.
• Report hazards, damage, maintenance concerns, incidents and safety issues.
