Radiant Hospitality Company seeks a founding General Manager to lead the pre-opening and ongoing operations of a premium Mediterranean restaurant at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Director or senior operator in premium/high-energy dining environments.
• Demonstrable pre-opening experience including recruitment, training, operational setup and launch execution.
• Strong exposure to internationally benchmarked hospitality standards with high-volume service.
• Full restaurant P&L ownership: revenue, EBITDA, labour, food & beverage cost, pricing and forecasting.
• Deep understanding of Cape Town premium hospitality market and local network translating to revenue, events and repeat clients.
• Experience in Mediterranean/Italian/lifestyle or multi-brand groups is advantageous.
• Charismatic, floor-led leadership with emotional intelligence and coaching mindset.
• Fluent professional English and impeccable grooming; right to work in South Africa.

Aufgaben

• Lead the full pre-opening lifecycle: structure, manpower planning, leadership recruitment, SOPs, service standards, training and readiness.
• Build and develop the opening team with a clear understanding of service standards and the reasons behind them.
• Own day-to-day operations with a visible floor presence across reservations, reception, dining room, bar, private dining and guest relations.
• Manage the restaurant as a profit centre: revenue, EBITDA, labour productivity, cost controls, menu mix, RevPASH.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and beverage leadership on menu engineering, pricing, procurement and product mix.
• Develop memorable guest experiences and cultivate relationships with regulars, VIPs and Cape Town hospitality networks.
• Grow the restaurant’s client base and partnerships to sustain revenue through events and private dining.
• Act as brand custodian with culinary, marketing and PR to reinforce concept across all touchpoints.
• Lead with a people-centric, servant-led approach; coach, develop leaders and build culture.
