Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager for a premium casual dining concept in Cape Town. You will take full operational ownership from setup through opening, lead recruitment and training, and implement SOPs and supplier agreements to ensure a flawless launch.

You will manage full P&L, safeguard margins, drive revenue, and maintain exceptional guest experience while building a high-performance team on the floor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of General Manager experience in high-volume premium dining or fresh-venue openings.
• Proven ability to manage full P&L and optimize margins.
• Strong leadership to recruit, train and develop large service teams.
• Track record of delivering guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Opening & Setup: drive readiness for October opening with group executives.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and training for Front-of-House staff.
• Implement SOPs, POS configurations and supplier agreements.
• Own the venue's financial performance including prime cost control.
• Drive revenue targets, floor yields and daily sales tracking.
• Maintain a visible floor leadership presence during peak service hours.
• Foster a high-performance team culture focused on hospitality and product knowledge.
