Job summary

Afrizan Personnel is partnered to recruit a General Manager Human Resources: Agriculture. This senior role will shape and execute the People Strategy for a global agriculture business, aligning workforce capability, performance and talent priorities with long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded HR executive with extensive generalist expertise, strong labour relations experience and a track record of influencing Executives while leading transformation across complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or related field.
• 12–15 years’ progressive HR experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in senior HR leadership positions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated People Strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with Executives and senior leadership as a trusted strategic HR advisor.
• Lead strategic workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and leadership development.
• Drive organisational design, workforce optimisation, culture transformation and complex change initiatives.
• Provide strategic oversight of talent acquisition, employer branding and critical skills pipelines.
• Lead performance management, remuneration, reward and employee engagement strategies.
• Develop relationships with trade unions and employee representatives while overseeing complex employee relations matters.
• Lead Employment Equity, diversity, inclusion and broader transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation, governance requirements and HR risk frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Manage HR operating budget and evaluate ROI of people initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary HR team and build capability.
