Springer Nature seeks a Group Data Protection Officer to lead GDPR compliance and data privacy across the group. This hybrid role is based in Berlin, Heidelberg or London, reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

You will coordinate cross-functional data protection initiatives and serve as the primary contact for data protection authorities. Key duties include advising on GDPR/UK GDPR obligations, DPIAs, monitoring changes, and governance of data protection across the enterprise.

Qualifikationen

• In-depth knowledge of data protection law in the EU and UK.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a concise data protection framework.
• Experience with consent requirements and consent management systems.
• Degree or certificate in a data protection discipline; IAPP certification preferred.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration in matrix organizations.

Aufgaben

• Inform and advise Springer Nature regarding GDPR and related data protection provisions.
• Cooperate with supervisory authorities and maintain accountability measures.
• Act as contact point for authorities on personal data processing issues.
• Provide advice on DPIAs and monitor performance under GDPR/UK GDPR.
• Monitor legislative developments and inform management of impacts.
