Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment is seeking an Export Controller in Gauteng to manage end-to-end export operations for airfreight and seafreight, from origin to destination. You will oversee cargo packing, bookings, tracking, and dispatch while ensuring compliance with customs laws and Incoterms.

The role requires 3–5 years in sea and air freight export, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Office and freight systems such as CargoWise.

Qualifications

• Matric or higher
• National Diploma or higher in International Trade, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience working with international employees or within a multinational company is preferred
• Proficient in ERP system data entry and master data maintenance, with advanced Excel skills for statistical analysis, reporting, and stocktaking
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Assist with Airfreight, Seafreight, Transhipments and Deliveries
• Oversee export cargo from origin to destination
• Coordinate cargo packing, booking, tracking, and dispatch
• Prepare invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
• Communicate daily with clients, shipping lines, and airlines
• Follow customs laws, international trade rules, and Incoterms
• Keep logistics tracking software and databases accurate
• Resolve operational delays and shipment issues quickly
