Qualifications
- MSc or MEng in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant mining experience.
- Proficiency in rock mechanics, slope stability analysis and ground support design; strong report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical site investigations, including logging boreholes and analyzing rock mass properties.
- Conduct stability analyses for underground excavations and open-pit slopes.
- Develop and implement ground support designs and monitoring programs.
- Assess risks from seismicity, rockbursts, and slope failures.
- Provide geotechnical input for mine planning, design and operations.
- Monitor performance and recommend corrective actions.
