Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Geologist to join the exploration team in Stellenbosch, contributing to hydrocarbon resource identification and evaluation. You will analyze geological data, perform basin analyses, and collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to support drilling campaigns.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Geology or related field with 5+ years in exploration geology, proficient in Petrel/Kingdom, and capable of working in a hybrid Stellenbosch

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science.
• At least 5 years' experience in exploration geology, preferably Oil & Gas.
• Experience with seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom) and geological modelling.
• Strong sedimentary basin analysis and petroleum systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological data, including well logs, core samples, and seismic data.
• Develop and refine subsurface geological models and interpretations.
