Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist with a focus on Exploration to join their client in Stellenbosch. You will interpret geological and geophysical data, conduct basin analyses, develop exploration models, and contribute to strategy.

The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and applying advanced technologies to de-risk exploration ventures. The successful candidate will have a Master’s or Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or related geoscience discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in energy exploration with strong basin analysis and petroleum systems.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation and geological modeling software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Experience with data integration and uncertainty assessment in exploration.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, and other geological/geophysical data.
