Placements24 is seeking a Geologist with a focus on exploration to join our client in Mossel Bay, South Africa. You will integrate geological, geophysical and production data to build subsurface models and guide frontier exploration.

The role requires a Master's in Geology or Earth Sciences, 5+ years in geological exploration, and proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom Suite for seismic interpretation. You will collaborate across disciplines and contribute to strategic exploration plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in geological exploration, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with geological modeling software and seismic interpretation tools (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy, and structural geology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze seismic data, well logs, and core samples to interpret subsurface geological structures and stratigraphy.
• Develop 3D geological models and perform volumetric analyses to assess potential hydrocarbon resources.
• Collaborate with geophysicists and reservoir engineers to define drilling targets and exploration strategies.
